Car Number 22 races under "MOTUL KEY VALUE Z" logo
Measures also taken to counter Malaysian heat
In the third round of the All Japan GT Championship, Japan GT Championship Malaysia, NISMO Car Number 22 will appear under the MOTUL KEY VALUE Z logo. In Japan this car is registered as MOTUL PIT WORK Z but for overseas rounds the words PIT WORK in the logo will be replaced by KEY VALUE which is an overseas brand. Both PIT WORK and KEY VALUE are brands used for aftermarket parts sales by Nissan Motor Company.

This year, as Edaran Tan Chong Motor SDN BHD, the Nissan Sales Company in Malaysia, will also sponsor NISMO at this event only, the two NISMO 350Z racers will bear Edaran Tan Chong Motor stickers. The local sales company will join forces with NISMO to host activities that include holding a vehicle display in the Mall Area and providing seats for supporters in the grandstand in front of the NISMO pit on the day of the final.

On the vehicle side, the Malaysian race is contested in high temperatures and high humidity, requiring an approach focused on beating the heat. An air splitter will be installed on the hood to prevent hot air exhausted from the engine room from entering the cabin. Along with NACA duct on the roof, hot air escape vents fitted from the end of the roof to the back door give driver cooler air-flow.

Comment by Team Director Hiroshi Degawa
"This is our first race in Malaysia for two years so we have gone all-out in our preparations to ensure we fulfill our fan's expectations. Two years ago we raced in the GT-Rs and this is also our first race at Sepang since changing to the Z. The performance of the first two rounds in Japan has demonstrated the great potential of the Z. This race will be the Z's debut in Malaysia so we are very keen to win. Everyone in the team from drivers to crew will be pulling out all stops to win so we hope we can count on the support of our fans."
