Reigning champion Leeroy Poulter (#1 Sasol Nissan 350Z) finished third in race one in the Bridgestone Production Car championship's first visit to the WesBank Raceway at Germiston this afternoon. Tschops Sipuka was 12th in the #23 car, while Gary Formato retired with clutch problems after completing just three of the 13 laps in the #22 car.

Poulter and his Sasol Nissan 350Z scored a dominant win in race two after starting seventh on the grid and now enjoy sole leadership of the class A championship. Formato was fourth while Sipuka was 12th.
The grid for race two was determined by the drivers with the fastest eight laps occupying the first eight places on the grid, but in reverse order. Formato started from pole position and led for two laps before being caught and passed by team-mate Poulter.
Formato: "It was nice, but flattering to lead the race for a couple of laps. I tried my best to keep the faster cars behind me, but fourth place was quite acceptable under the circumstances."
"We had a good car this weekend and the race two result showed it," said a pleased Poulter, who was the overall winner for the day. "A better grid position in race one would have made a big difference. I'm happy to have extended my lead in the championship."
Glyn Hall (general manager, Nissan Motorsport): "We've done a lot of testing since the last race, in Cape Town, and the team has worked really hard. We were well rewarded today for our collective efforts."
