The Dongfeng Nissan Ghiasports Racing Team Tiida is based on a C11-type four-door hatchback Tiida model, modified in accordance with CCC regulations.
The engine is a double-overhead camshaft (DOHC) 4 cylinder, 16-valve HR16 model (1598cc), with NISMO responsible for tuning to improve power output, torque and durability.
NISMO was also responsible for developing the gearbox that would match output improvements, and NISMO is also looking into fitting a sequential type transmission assembly during the course of this season.
Suspension is currently the same strut-type as that used in mass production models and is capable of fine adjustments in vehicle height and shock absorption as well as camber control, depending on course and track conditions.
Other modifications include the addition of a roll cage, the repositioning of the fuel tank, the fitting of an air jack and PI data collection system, and various safety equipment, all fitted by and unique to the Ghiasports Team responsible for managing the vehicle lineup.
Brakes are high-capacity type, using rotors and calipers from AP Racing. Race rules dictate that tires must be products that are commercially available and the Tiida is fitted with Yokohama 15-inch racing slicks. Regulations also stipulate that the total weight of the vehicle, including driver and equipment must be no less than 1000kg.
There are also limitations on the number of sets of tires that can be used: three sets of dry tires and two sets of wet tires for the entire race set, from opening heats to the final.
