Lucas Ordonez (Face book)
Born in Spain on May 1st, 1985
Ordonez started racing karts at an early age, but since he lacked the funds needed to rapidly improve his racing, was forced to give up his kart career in 2001 in order to focus on his academic studies. While working towards his MBA, his hobby was improving his skills on PlayStation racing games. In May 2008, he took part in the preliminary round of the GT Academy using the PlayStation 3 Gran Turismo 5 Prologue multiplayer. From a total of over 25,000 contestants hailing from all over Europe, he was chosen to represent Spain, and went on to win the competition outright, taking part in the final selection meeting held at the UK's Silverstone circuit at the end of August.
