In qualifying, the rain that had been falling since morning suddenly turned to light showers just before the end of the session. Seeking to make the most of this opportunity, all of the cars went out on track at once. Hampered by slower cars on his racing line, Guo was unable to improve his time, but Lin made the most of the opportunity to claim the number three spot on the grid.
  • Title #4

Xie, who had a hard time with the handling of his car, came 13th in qualifying after making adjustments in two visits to the pits. Xie noticed problems with his car just before the end and pulled over to the side of the course to discontinue his attack, finishing qualifying in 14th place.
  • Title #5

  • Title #6
    6/10
Shanghai was covered in thick clouds, and a sudden strong downpour struck before the start of the race, making the track surface wet. However, the tarmac started to dry quickly as start time approached, enabling the cars to start the race on slicks.
  • Title #7

Making a good start among the top group, Lin moved up a place to run 2nd at the first corner. And while there were many spins and collisions in the middle group, both Guo and Xie succeeded in improving their positions.
  • Title #8
    8/10
Guo had a tenacious and strong run. While he had blown his chance in qualifying, ending up 15th, he improved steadily to move into 5th by the fifth lap. Behind him was Lin, who had dropped some places following a collision.
  • Title #9
    9/10
On lap 8, Lin was caught out by the treacherous surface and collided with Guo at the 10th corner. Guo came to a stop in the gravel and had to retire, while Lin also ended up retiring after being rear-ended by another car.
  • Title #10
    10/10
Amid repeated collisions, spins and retirements at various places, Xie took the checkered flag in 10th place after a consistently cautious drive. Although he is still a teenager, Xie demonstrated his ability to handle his machine coolly even in a turbulent race.
