China Touring Car Championship

  • Title #1
    1/10
The Chinese Touring Car Championship (CTCC) has reached its last event of the season. DongFeng Nissan Ghia Sports Team's regular drivers Guo Haisheng and Lin Lifeng have vowed to finish the season with a good result in this final race.
  • Title #2
    2/10
As it was last year, the final event of the CTCC season was held at Guangdong Circuit in Guangdong province. DongFeng Nissan's main offices and factory are located in Guangdong province, making this their home track. The Tiida supporters, all decked out in red, came out to cheer on the cars, showing their best support yet this season.
  • Title #3
    3/10
This is the second time racing at Guangdong for Lin and Guo, who also drove the Tiida last year. Lin used his previous experience at the track well, and showed a good performance during practice. He went on to qualify in third place, the highest qualifier in the Nissan team. In contrast, Guo was only able to qualify in 11th place.
  • Title #4
    4/10
Although this was his first time at Guangdong Circuit, Sun Zheng has already competed in five events in the Tiida. He reached eighth place in the opening moments of qualifying, but pushed on with everything he had and was able to qualify in fifth place.
  • Title #5
    5/10
Although the calendar was showing December, and the start of winter, the temperature at the circuit on race day reached 28 degrees Celsius. The drivers waved from the grid to the crowd, who were growing increasingly excited.
  • Title #6
    6/10
At last the time came for the race. All cars made a clean start with the exception of the Polo in 10th place, which got away late. Although Lin was unfortunately struck from behind by the sixth-placed #6 HAIMA, he continued to race the now damaged car, but was forced to retire at the eighth corner.
  • Title #7
    7/10
The #6 HAIMA that struck Lin made contact with another car, and stopped in the gravel. Sun was able to expertly avoid the chaos, and made up one position on the opening lap to reach fourth place. Unfortunately he had sudden problems with the drivetrain of the car on lap 13, stopping the car at the side of the track and signaling the end of his race.
  • Title #8
    8/10
Guo started the race in 11th place, but was able to make up several positions to reach eighth when he was hit from behind by the #7 HAIMA at the hairpin on lap two, sending him into a spin. He was also struck from behind by the #38 HAIMA, the car sustaining heavy damage. Despite this he continued to race, and finished in eighth place.
  • Title #9
    9/10
Lei Junbin started from last place, but was able to avoid the carnage amongst the leading cars and concentrate on his driving. He reached the chequered flag in seventh place.
  • Title #10
    10/10
This was the eighth and final race in the CTCC season. Guo finished the series in eighth place, Lin in 16th, and Sun in 10th. They placed fourth in the Team ranking.
