The Nissan Driver Development Program (NDDP) is a scholarship program that sets its target to “train young drivers to become world-class competitors”. In 2006, the three leading manufacturers Nissan, Toyota and Honda launched the new mid-level formula car series, naming it Formula Challenge Japan (FCJ), and at the same time, Nissan, through its NDDP initiative, started supporting a number of drivers.
For this season, Kiyoto Fujinami will participate in the FCJ through the NDDP. He had made his debut as an NDDP driver in last year's FCJ. His best results were a pair of sixth-place finishes. This season he will refine his driving even further, aiming for better positions at the flag.
